I’m Alicia, and I’ve been behind a camera for more than 30 years. Southern Arizona has been home for 22 of those years, and no matter where life has taken us, we keep coming back. There’s just something about this place—the desert, the mountains, the monsoons, and that incredible Arizona light—that feels like home.
I’m also a wife and mom of three. Raising children with special needs has shaped a big part of who I am and how I see the people around me. Our family has spent plenty of time navigating therapies, appointments, unexpected challenges, and milestones that didn’t always happen on someone else’s timeline. It taught me pretty quickly that there is no one right way for a family—or a person—to be.
Over the years, I’ve photographed families laughing through the chaos, seniors stepping into an entirely new chapter, couples celebrating the life they’ve built together, and more than a few people who started their session by telling me they really don’t like having their picture taken.
And that’s okay.
You don’t need to know what to do in front of my camera. You don’t need perfectly behaved kids, coordinated personalities, or a family that looks like anyone else’s. Bring me your people exactly as they are.
After more than 30 years, I still love creating beautiful photographs. But what matters most to me is the person in them.
Just show up as you are. I’ll take care of the rest.
My Philosophy
I believe the best photographs don’t happen because everyone is perfectly posed.
They happen when you forget about the camera.
My job is to create the space for that to happen. I’ll give you direction when you need it, step back when you don’t, and adjust along the way because no two people, families, or sessions are exactly the same.
Sometimes that means getting everyone moving instead of asking them to stand still. Sometimes it means slowing everything down and giving someone a little more time. And sometimes it means taking Dad’s phone for a few minutes because his teenager can’t stop laughing about it.
I’m not looking for perfect smiles or perfectly behaved kids. I’m looking for the laugh you didn’t plan, the way your people naturally reach for one another, and all those little moments in between.
Because years from now, I don’t want you to look at your photographs and remember how perfectly everyone posed.ext

Your Experience
From the moment you reach out, my goal is to make the entire experience feel easy, comfortable, and completely yours.
We’ll plan your session together—from choosing a location that fits you to talking through what to wear, what to expect, and anything I should know before we begin. You won’t be left wondering where to go, what to do, or whether you’re doing it “right.”
When session day arrives, there’s no pressure to perform for the camera. I’ll guide you when you need it, give you room when you don’t, and adjust as we go. Kids can be kids. Seniors can bring their personalities. Couples can laugh, move, and be themselves. And if we need to slow down, take a break, change direction, or throw the plan out altogether—we can.
After your session, I’ll carefully select and edit the images that tell your story. You’ll receive a private gallery where you can choose your favorites, purchase additional images and prints, and decide how you want these moments to live beyond your screen.
You bring the people you love and show up as you are.
